Nigerians in China seek integration

Nigerian Community stake holders in China have expressed need to curb youthful aggression and restiveness taking place within the African Community in Guangzhou, China, through the integration of the Community in the Chinese labour force. In his keynote address, Consul General, Ambassador Mohammed Hussaini, affirmed the importance of building a more effective African community in China. According to him, the situation has compelled the Community stake holders to fasten their belts towards building a more peaceful, effective and sustainable African Community in China. Also speaking, the African community Chairman Mr. Uzoma Festus Mbisiogu who noted the need to sensitise the entire citizenry, particularly the teeming youths against various criminality also said that, ‘What we want to achieve is to make Nigerians in China understand the negative effect of crime, drug and substance abuse on the society and more importantly on the image of our dear nation.”

He said the conference, held at the Hilton Hotel Baiyun, Yun Cheng Dong Lu, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, was organised to appeal to every Nigerian resident in China on the need to rebuilding the image of Nigeria, as well as create profound awareness of the responsibilities on the part of Nigerian Community stake holders, who are now compelled to enhance commitment to building a better African Community in China through skill acquisition and career training. Also in attendance were Deputy Consular General, Ambassador Adamu O. Shuaibu and Mr. Emmanuel Osita Ojukwu , executive member of the Nigerian Community in China.
